Romania v Finland – Romania to keep a clean sheet

Although they haven't necessarily faced any of the freescoring nations, Romania's defence has been very impressive this campaign. They come off the back of three 0-0 draws and although Under 2.5 goals seems tempting, it's currently priced at around 1/2 and all value has been lost. They have conceded just a single goal and that was at the very start of the campaign during their 1-1 with Hungary. Prolific and free-scoring are not two words you would attach to the current Finnish side, they could only put a single goal past The Faroe Islands, a side who very rarely conceded less than 3. It shouldn't be beyond possibility that Romania shut them out and at 5/6 I think it's slightly more backable. 

 

Rep. of Ireland v Germany – Over 2.5 goals 

It's do or die for Scotland in their game with Poland and it's also a pressing concern that Ireland pick up some points here when they host Germany. They'd prefer to face someone less free scoring than the Germans, but they will need to go for it at the Aviva Stadium. Robbie Keane is available for this and the former Spurs man netted for LA Galaxy against Seattle on Sunday night continuing his good domestic form. Germany beat Scotland 3-2 at Hampden Park recently and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a similar scoreline here. 

 

Scotland v Poland – Robert Lewandowski Anytime Goalscorer

It's unusual for me to place a goalscorer in an Acca, but I'm going to take the chance on the man who possesses the hottest goalscoring streak in Europe at the moment. The Pole has scored 12 goals in his last 4 games for Bayern and has also netted in the qualifiers. He's scored 6 times in his last 3 games, including a hattrick against Georgia and 2 against Faroe Islands. He also netted against Germany. As Scotland push on in the second half, in quest of a goal in this must-win match for them, that may leave gaps and Lewandowski can take advantage of this. 

 

Northern Ireland v Greece – First Half Goals – Under 1.5

Northern Ireland aren't far away from qualifying for Euro 2016, they could still be overtaken by Romania or Hungary, but they look in pole position with games against Finland and Greece. They face the latter on Thursday and I think it's going to be difficult for Michael O'Neill's men to make a breakthrough. They are missing Kyle Lafferty for this and he has got the majority of their goals. He has an equal record in the qualifying as Wayne Rooney and has scored 4 goals in their last 4 games. He has also scored the last 2 goals for his nation who are also without Chris Baird and Connor McLaughlin. It's been a torrid campaign for Greece, but they drew 0-0 last time under their new coach and frustrated their opponents Romania, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them do the same here as they look to instill some semblence of confidence back into a beleagured Greek side.
