Cheltenham Festival Champion Chase Expert Betting Tips

Sprinter Sacre won the race in emphatic fashion two seasons ago when carrying all before him in the 2m division. His problems since have been well documented and a returning second at Ascot was promising. If coming on for the outing he should he bang in the firing line to regain his crown.

Sire De Grugy is the reigning Champion Chaser having dominated what looked a relatively weak division last year. He could only beat what was put in front of him however, a comment also true of his latest Chepstow win when beating Grey Gold and Mister Grez.

CHAMPAGNE FEVER (11/2 Coral) has been racking up quite a C.V over 2m at Cheltenham, winning the Bumper and the Supreme before a head second in the Arkle. He probably hasn't been at his very best this season but it would be no surprise to see him come alive again at Prestbury Park.

Dodging Bullets has been a revelation this season, a tongue tie enabling this once weak finisher to see out his races much better. The absence of the top pair made his Tingle Creek win a little hollow but his beating of Sprinter Sacre at Ascot was a new career high. His form in the Spring though is not of the same quality as his early season outings.

It's a fascinating renewal with doubts about most at the head of the market. I put up CHAMPAGNE FEVER in my original ante-post preview and while the 'value' might be gone, he still looks a decent shout in an open contest.
