Bosnia v Republic of Ireland betting tips:

It's crunch time for both of these sides as Bosnia and Ireland battle it out to grab a place on the plane to Euro 2016 in France next summer. Bosnia came with a late run, but it wasn't enough to get past Wales and Belgium, both of whom had put together a solid sequence of results whilst it was down to the wire for Ireland, who despite beating Germany, conceded late against Poland, which sent them through instead.

Martin O'Neill's future is up for discussion and many Ireland fans believe he should stay on. He has done a good job to get to this stage but with Northern Ireland, Wales and England already guaranteed a spot, they'll be desperate not to join Scotland as a stay-at-home nation.

They've performed admirably and their attack is spearheaded by the ageless Robbie Keane. He will be missing his usual partners in crime for this though as Jonathan Walters is not available and an injury has ruled out Shane Long. It leaves them a little light up front. But there's plenty of creativity behind in the shape of Norwich duo Wes Hoolahan and Robbie Brady and marauding Everton full back Seamus Coleman.

The players have been instructed not to let the 'special' win over Germany distract them from the importance of this game. It was a hard fought victory as they clung on for dear life against a usually potent German side. They defended for their lives against Poland as well, but they were less successful on this occasion. They will want the away goal here, if they get it, they may adopt a defensive approach once more. But as we've seen already, this policy can be dangerous.

The trouble is that John O'Shea is suspended and Shay Given is struggling with an injury. Lacking leaders may mean they struggle to organise defensively, which was part of their success against the World Champions. There are plenty of injury concerns for the away side, whether that will galvanise them and raise the spirit of the camp remains to be seen, but Bosnia are in great form and the momentum is with them in Zenica.

They've won 5 of their last 6 competitive matches and it was only a defeat in Belgium that stop them from having a perfect record. Wales got beaten here 2-0 when all they needed was a point for qualification and they have plenty of danger men. Edin Dzeko is one of them who will be familiar to a number of these players. He is the captain and is likely to be joined up front by Cesena's Milan Djuric, who scored against Wales and against Cyprus, leaving him with 2 goals in his last 2 games.

Dzeko's Roma team mate Miralem Pjanic is another player who will have to be tracked by the Republic of Ireland defence as he has a decent goalscoring record in the playmaker role.

I think this all adds up to a long evening for the Irish and they will be much more effective when they are back on home soil. The suspensions and injuries will hit hard at the Bilino Polje Stadium and I think the home side will have an advantage to take into the second leg.

The first of our Bosnia v Republic of Ireland betting tips is for a Bosnia win. It can be backed at Evens with Coral

In their last two home games here, Bosnia managed to keep a clean sheet, their goal being marshalled by the excellent Asmir Begovic. Ireland will be desperate to get a goal to take back to the Aviva Stadium with them, but they could struggle without Walters and Long. Keane is handy and still has plenty of goals in him following another impressive season in LA. But he can't do it alone and I think they might struggle to get past a Bosnian defence.

The second of our Bosnia v Republic of Ireland betting tips is for Both Teams to Score? No. It's available at 8/13 with Coral

Whilst the aforementioned Edin Dzeko might be the obvious pick as we know he is a natural goalscorer and he is their leader, I'm going to back his strike partner, who has been in impressive International form. He will be a much bigger and better price He has only scored 2 International goals and they've come in his last two games, he'll be desperate to extend that run.

The third of our Bosnia v Republic of Ireland betting tips is for Milan Djuric to score anytime. He is 21/10 with Coral to score anytime
