The powerful Nicky Henderson team have fired in a staggering 53 Cheltenham Festival winners over the years and ended up at top trainer 9 times since 1980. With that in mind it’s no wonder Nicky Henderson will be popular in the betting at a value-looking 20/1 with 888Sport.
However, Henderson doesn’t quite have the ammo he normally has heading into the 2016 Cheltenham Festival with not too many so-called ‘bankers’ to rely on like in previous years, so, therefore, it’s easy to see why Willie Mullins, who has been the top trainer at the Cheltenham Festival for the past three years, is heavily odds-on around 1/14 with Bet365. Mullins won a staggering 8 Cheltenham Festival races in 2015. Mullins winners in 2015 were Douvan, Un De Sceaux, Faugheen, Don Poli, Vautour, Glens Melody, Wicklow Brave and Kilultagh Vic.
